PHILIPSBURG, PA: The Philipsburg Main Street Program wants to thank everyone who braved the snow and the cold to participate in the annual Harvest Fest which was held in on Saturday, October 29th in downtown Philipsburg.
They are also pleased to announce the winners of the Halloween Costume and Pumpkin Carving contest. Medals were awarded for first, second, and third place in each division. Main Street Program volunteers judged the participants based on specific criteria; those with the highest point totals were the winners. Each participant received a treat bag and was able to trick or treat in downtown. The bags and candy were sponsored by numerous local businesses.
By category, the awards went to:
Age 2 and Under- 1st- Kadence hazel, 2nd- Cameron Scott, 3rd- Zaiden Riggins
Ages 3-5 (Preschool)- 1st- Maddox Hampton, 2nd- Trygve Swinehart, 3rd- Jordan Walker
Kindergarten and First Grade- 1st- Grace McClure, 2nd- Kinley Bender, 3rd- Marlee Butterworth
Second and Third Grade- 1st- Luke Vadalla, 2nd- Caleb Pellerite, 3rd- Carter Webster
Fourth, Fifth, and Sixth Grade- 1st- Kyleigh Conklin, 2nd- Ainsley Shedlock, 3rd- Bethany Boulton
Junior/Senior High- 1st- Sarah Bainey, 2nd- Dayton Daly, 3rd- Nick Ragan; Groups- 1st- Pirates, 2nd- Salt, Pepper, and Paprika, 3rd- Mario, Luigi, and Mushroom

In the Pumpkin Carving Contest awards went to:

2nd Place (tie)– Tanner Ricotta and Mia Bell
3rd Place- Bethany Boulton
13 and over- 1st Place- South Hills, Philipsburg.
